OUR STORY
Hence, the journey of BIL began with introducing the young deaf youth to vocational skills. Programs such as computer hardware, cutting and tailoring, beauty culture, strapping of watches, and wiring & electrical work were then introduced.
In the meantime, these philanthropists did further research to understand the systems of education for the deaf being followed in more developed countries and in this connection visited the Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., which is one of the oldest university for the education of the deaf.
BIL over the years has become a pioneer institute in the country using the Indian Sign Language (ISL) and English for educating the deaf children. Back then, ISL was rarely used in India for educating the Deaf. Very few used, bilingual approach (ISL with English) of educating the deaf.
At Bajaj Institute of Learning, silence is not a barrier—it is a language of its own, a bridge that connects hearts and minds. Here, learning flows freely, beyond the boundaries of speech, embracing a unique rhythm that needs no sound. Each day, these young souls explore the world with unmatched enthusiasm, proving that the ability to hear does not define the ability to dream, achieve, and inspire.
Every sign, every gesture carries a story, a passion, a dream waiting to unfold. In this haven of silent strength, barriers dissolve, and possibilities become endless.
